About the Author

Vishal K. Khanna is a developer, an IT manager and an author. He is the owner and author of www.dotnetuncle.com, a .NET FAQ website.

He has architected several enterprise class web portals, search engines and utility tools. Among his implementations, he has architected GPRS & Tablet based solutions for Engineering verticals; Conceptualized and architected the biggest chemical search engine for fortune 500 companies; designed Blackberry based CRM applications for Telecom companies; Architected the business workflow and database for a billion dollar perfumes company.

Vishal K. Khanna was born in Manila, Philippines, on 1st September 1978, and grew up in South Delhi, India. He did his early schooling at Elizabeth Seton School in Manila and later moved to India. He completed his senior secondary schooling from SBDAV Public School, New Delhi and then moved on to Bangalore where he pursued his B.Sc. in Computer Science from Garden City College (GCC), and Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) from Dayananda Sagar College of Management & Information Technology (DSCMIT). He holds certifications from Microsoft (MCSD, MCTS), PMI.org (PMP) and Salesforce.com (Force.com Dev). Vishal has worked in several companies (such as Evalueserve, Cognizant) and is experienced in architecting enterprise class web applications on a variety of technical platforms and domains. He also loves being at forums.asp.net.

He likes spending good time with his family. Besides that, he has a great passion for writing and participating in technical forums. Vishal also enjoys partying with friends and travelling to unexplored destinations.
